Why a $12 listing can refuse to activate on your account
Region restrictions explained without the legalese, plus how to read them before checkout.

Publishers price the same game differently by market. To stop arbitrage, they lock keys to the region they were issued for. The lock is enforced at redemption, not at purchase — which is why the money is gone before you find out.
How to read a region label
'Global' means no restriction. 'EU only' means the key checks your account's country against an allowlist. 'RU / CIS' keys are the cheapest on any marketplace and will fail for most Western European accounts.
If a key is 40% cheaper than every other listing, the region column is where you will find out why.
What we do about it
Every offer row on this site carries its region label, and the region filter defaults to nothing hidden so you can see the full spread. Set it to Global if you never want to think about it again.
